(BRIGHTON, MI) - Around seventy players grades Pre-K–9th came to Legacy Center Sports Complex last Friday for a Discover Field Hockey clinic. Included with the registration fee, players received an equipment bag filled with shin guards, two balls, a USA Field Hockey shirt, a stick, and an extra stick for a parent.

Discover Field Hockey clinics are ninety-minute USAFH-sponsored events designed to introduce field hockey to boys and girls who have had limited to no exposure to the sport. These clinics are run across the nation in an effort to grow the game.

The coaching staff at last Friday’s clinic was so excited to see that many of the players were holding a stick for the first time!

With players new to the sport, it’s important to get a stick back into their hands soon—check out GLRFH’s upcoming playing opportunities for the spring!
