There are two types of opportunities for college students to play with university-affiliated teams:

varsity and club


Varsity Field Hockey

In Wisconsin, two Division 3 schools have Varsity programs. These programs are at Concordia University - Wisconsin and Marian University with both competing in the SAA. 

In order to play at the Varsity level in college, athletes typically have to be recruited out of high school.

Concordia University - Wisconsin Field Hockey

A Division 3 school competing in the SAA located in Mequon.

Marian University Field Hockey

A Division 3 school competing in the SAA located in Fond-du-Lac.


Club Field Hockey

Currently, there are two collegiate club programs in Wisconsin.

Club teams can be joined by anyone attending the respective university, and the competition and commitment level is a not as high as Varsity programs.
