There are three club field hockey teams in Michigan: Pinnacle, Fer De Lance, and Live Oak.

Participating in club field hockey often means practicing weekly in preparation for various tournaments held around the country.

Club teams compete against the best teams in the USA at national tournaments. Being a member of a travel team is often essential if an athlete is looking to get recruited to play at the Varsity level in college.

Both Pinnacle and Fer De Lance are based out of Washtenaw County, and Live Oak is based out of Livingston/Oakland counties.

Live Oak Field Hockey

From Live Oak's website:

"Live Oak Field Hockey Club exists to develop strong field hockey players and strong young women in Livingston (Live) and Oakland (Oak) Counties, in Michigan.  We endeavor to create opportunities for young athletes to learn the game and improve their skills.  We will provide high school athletes with the opportunity for at least one national field hockey event per year, and many local opportunities.  We aim to open doors for field hockey players from Michigan to pursue the game during and after high school through playing, coaching and officiating."
