MSU Runs Clinic at Legacy

The much anticipated 2-session, Michigan State College Clinic Series, kicked off on Monday night at the Legacy Center in Brighton, Michigan. Monday’s Circle Play Clinic focused on both the defensive and offensive side of the ball. MSU coaches and players ran stations and created game-like scenarios for groups to work new skills, and improve their circle game. Players worked passing patterns and speed of execution, shot options on goal, marking and defensive strategy, 1v1 elimination skills, and ended with small game scrimmages. Both the 5th-8th, and 9th-12th, grade groups were focused, competitive, and energized as they worked their skills under the direction of some of the top players and coaches in the region.

37 athletes attended Monday night’s session; representing 10 middle and high schools, and 3 clubs in Michigan. It was a tremendous opportunity for youth players to learn from their role models in the sport.

On Thursday, Michigan State will return to Legacy for Part 2: Team Play and Transitions, 6:30p-8:30p, if you haven’t signed up, registration is still open.

Stay connected with us as we continue our Spring College Clinics & Play series at Legacy for 7 Wednesdays in April & May. Programming and instruction will be tailored to two age groups, 5th-8th and 9-12th grade players.
