GLRFH Welcomes Langford as Board Member

​We are happy to announce that Ryan Langford has joined the board of Great Lakes Regional Field Hockey.  ​The board of GLRFH is committed to serves all ages and abilities of the indoor and outdoor field hockey community through high quality coaching, programming, skill development, fitness training, and play.  Additionally​,​ GLRFH will sponsor coaching education, specialty workshops, leadership training and other educational opportunities to support development. Finally, the work of the GLRFH may include development of facilities and training venues.​​Langford​'s involvement in GLRFH helps solidify our position as an organization that support​s​ the multitude of ways that field hockey ​exists​ in our communit​ies​ and help​s​ grow the game in the region.​ ​

When asked, Ryan commented ​"Thank you so much to the GLRFH for having me as a part of the board.  Field Hockey and its growth has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember.  I very much look forward to making a positive impact in the region, at all levels of play for men and women."

Ryan brings a wealth of field hockey experience to the Great Lakes community.  His current tenure as an assistant coach at the University of Michigan began in 2009, yet Ryan’s full span of coaching at the division 1 level started in 1999 and has run through five universities.  Ryan played with the USA National Team for 10 years, including captaining the National Team at the 1999 Pan American Games.  Additionally, Ryan, with wife Maren, is co-owner of Fer De Lance Hockey Club, a youth club based in Ann Arbor.
