Our mission to grow the game of field hockey requires passion, time, attention, and your financial support. Donations of Appreciated Stock are an easy way to support field hockey in the Midwest and Great Lakes Region. Whether your donation supports our broader mission of growth, or is designated for a specific fund like the Field Hockey First Campaign, both the sport and the athletes will benefit from your contributions.
Gifts of securities held by your bank or brokerage, or by you, offer significant tax advantages for athletes, families, and friends of field hockey, and they are easy to make.

If you hold a stock certificate, please send it to us with a stock power form. For safety and simplicity, you should send the certificate and stock power form separately. Contact info@glrfieldhockey.org for more information to make a donation of this kind.
Qualified Charitable Distribution from an IRA
Gifts from your Individual Retirement Account can be given to an eligible charitable organization like GLRFH. Up to $100,000 of the gift is excluded from your gross income for tax purposes. These gifts also apply to your required minimum distribution.
How it Works:
- You make a distribution directly from an IRA to GLRFH by December 31.
- The distribution counts toward your required minimum distribution.
Are you eligible?
- You are at least 70 1/2 years of age.
- The distribution must otherwise be included in gross income
- The distribution must otherwise be fully deductible as a charitable contribution.
Benefits:
- Up to $100,000 is removed from our gross income for income tax purposes.*
- The distribution counts toward your required minimum distribution.

MATCHING GIFTS
Many companies sponsor matching gift programs that will match contributions made to GLRFH by their employees or their employees' spouses.
You may contact your human resources department to learn whether your employer has a Matching Gift Program. GLRFH is a 501(c)3 non-profit and is happy to work with your human resources department to answer questions and establish the matching gift relationship with your employer.
In Memoriam Giving
With In Memoriam Giving, you pay tribute to a friend or loved one with a gift that bears the name of the person you wish to honor. You may direct your support towards our build a field project, our grant program, our overall work or another specified project under development. To make a Memorial Gift online, please indicate in the Notes section the name of the person you wish to honor and the project you wish to support. If you would prefer to make a memorial donation by check, please mail the check to 4215 Cornwell LN. Whitmore Lake, MI 48189.
